Medicine Bottle Collection

Can you envision walking for several hours to the pharmacy dispensary, being handed your pills in a scrap of paper and then walking several hours home with your pill in your hand? In third world countries that is a reality. Matthew 25 reuses our clean pill bottles by sending them to these countries so people can keep their medications clean and safe. Please remember our mission project and bring in your clean pill bottles for this important service.

Matthew 25: Ministries accepts donations of empty plastic pill bottles, only the gold pharmacy ones, for inclusion in shipments of medical supplies. Our pill bottle program fulfills the dual needs of improving medical care in developing countries and caring for our environment.

Acceptable collection items include:
-
Prescription gold bottles only
-
Large and small pill bottles
-
Pill Bottles with secure caps (child-resistant)
Pill bottle donations should adhere to the following guidelines:
-
Bottles included in shipments of medical supplies must have an all plastic lid.
-
Bottles should be sorted by color and type.
-
All labels should be removed, leaving no glue or residue.
-
All bottles and lids should be washed in very hot water and dish soap, rinsed, and dried thoroughly.
-
Caps should be placed back onto clean, dried bottles.
-
Clean, recapped bottles should be placed into large resealable bags marked “Clean Bottles.” These will be included in shipments of medical supplies.
